    El presente trabajo tiene por tema la traducción audiovisual: el lenguaje ofensivo y tabú en el subtitulado latinoamericano del inglés al español en la película Ted. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar y describir las técnicas que se utilizan mayormente para la traducción de palabras y frases que se consideran ofensivas o también tabúes. Este trabajo se llevó a cabo bajo un enfoque mixto, donde la recolección de datos se realizó a través del análisis del vocabulario utilizado en la película Ted, posteriormente se vació la información en una tabla donde analizaron las palabras o frases que se consideraban ofensivas o tabúes, así mismo se colocó en el idioma original y en el idioma meta, y por último se mencionó la de técnica utilizada para la traducción de este tipo de frases.

    The topic to carry out this research is audiovisual translation: offensive and taboo language in Latin American subtitling from English to Spanish in the movie Ted. The objective of these study was to analyze and describe the techniques that are mostly used for the translation of words and phrases that are considered offensive or also taboo. The investigation was carried out under a mixed approach, where the data collection was carried out through the analysis of the vocabulary used in the film Ted, then,  the information was put in a table where the words or phrases that were considered offensive or taboos found in this film were analized, as well as these words were placed in the original language and in the target language, and finally the type of technique used for the translation of this type of phrases.
