La realización de un documental antropológico como relación intercultural: límites y posibilidades

    En el presente trabajo, abordaremos la experiencia de realización con comunidades mapuche del cortometraje documental “La Tierra sin su Gente”. A partir de definir a la interculturalidad como la relación entre grupos socio-culturalmente diversos, analizaremos cómo se fue transformando y cuáles fueron las diferentes etapas que atravesó la relación entre “nosotros” y “los otros” durante la realización de esta película. “Nosotros”: jóvenes, universitarios, urbanos y wincas, en sus términos. “Ellos”: mapuches de diversas edades, integrantes de dos comunidades rurales. Las etapas en las que analizaremos este proceso son: (1) la relación previa a partir de la cual la película surge como proyecto y es posible su concreción; (2) el rodaje de la película; y (3) su presentación y difusión. En el período previo a la realización misma de la película, podemos distinguir, a su vez, tres momentos: (1.1) un inicio facilitado pero conflictivo, (1.2) un punto de inflexión a partir de una situación crítica que origina un vuelco favorable en la relación y, finalmente, (1.3) el otorgamiento de un certificado de confianza, el sello de una alianza.

    In this paper, we will review the experience with Mapuche communities while filming the documentary "The Land without its People". We define interculturality as the relationship between socio-culturally diverse groups. Then, we discuss how the relationship between "us" and "others" during this film´s production changed and the stages in this process. "We": junior, collegiate, urban and wincas, on their terms. "They": Mapuche of all ages, members of two rural communities. The intercultural relationship stages that we analize are: (1) the previous relationship from which the film emerges as a project and its accomplishment becomes possible, (2)  the shooting of the film, and (3) the presentation and dissemination of the film. During the first period, we can distinguish, in turn, three phases: (1.1) a beginning facilitated but troubled, (1.2) a turning point from a critical situation that causes a favorable change in the relationship and, finally, (1.3) the granting of a certificate of trust, the hallmark of an alliance.
