    La aparición del cine, como antes el de la fotografía, revolucionó el campo artístico reformulando el lugar de las otras artes e imponiendo un proceso de diferenciación que marcó sus especificidades y las obligó a replantearse su relación con ellos y entre sí. En este sentido el cine implicó un verdadero desafío.

    The emergence of cinema, as before that of photography, revolutionized the art field and obliged the other arts to reformulate their place. It imposed a process of differentiation that marked the specificities of the other arts and forced them to rethink their relationship with film and photography and also with each other. In this sense film implied a real challenge to previous arts.
