  • This article analyses some theoretical aspects of narratives. After a brief revision of the history of narratology and its basic concepts, this article pro-poses a hypothetical model for the narrative artefact. Of the three levels we can distinguish, event, story, and text, only the components of the first are analyses, proposing a model for character description according to four criteria. Besides, the concept of frame-event is introduced. It aims to explain the relation between narrative and reality or, in other words, between event and story.
