  • Resumen
    • The Halal tourism has seen a tremendous growth over the past few years, seeing the increasing demand for Halal tourism in both Muslim and non-Muslim countries .The main aim of this research is to highly shed some lights on the potential of Halal tourism in Spain because of the increasing visits of groups of tourists from Muslim countries to Spain. Many studies have revealed that there are huge opportunities to develop Halal tourism in the Iberian Peninsula especially in Spain due to its historical; cultural and natural qualifications which make Spain to be the best destination for Muslim tourists.

This promising and profitable market is also not limited to only Muslim tourists but responds to the needs of non-Muslim tourists as well. Many countries in the world have been exploiting these opportunities for a long time. Whereas, Spain that has got the greatest potentials and opportunities in this domain can be the first greatest market of Halal tourism in the region. Yet these potentials and opportunities are not fully exploited in Spain compared to other countries.

Great efforts and strategies must be done in this scenario. The main recommendations in this regard is to establish a global marketing plan and strengthening certification system for Halal tourism in Spain.
