  • Resumen
    • The aim of this study is to find the correlation that exist among academic achievement, values associated to a predominant personality and socioeconomic level (NSE as its initials in Spanish) of the students of the Industrial Engineering degree at the Universidad Politecnica de Altamira. This is a descriptive, analytic and explanatory study that was developed in two phases. In the first phase, the Test of Values by Gordon W. Allport was used. This test evaluates each individual to find its predominant personality. The second phase consisted in the application of the socioeconomic survey "Regla 10X8" of the Mexican Association of Market and Opinion Agencies of Intelligence (AMAI for its initials in Spanish). In a general perspective, a very weak correlation among the three variables was found and presented as a linear equation. The obtained results will be used for the development of proposals that seek to achieve the balance between relevant personalities for the Industrial Engineering educational program: theoretical, economical, and social, looking to increase the academic achievement.
