    • Desertion as a phenomenon that affects the educational backwardness of the population, is present at all levels that make up the Mexican educational system; is an important problem of the formal education system for its negative impact on the political, economic, social and cultural processes of national development, so it is necessary to conduct studies to determine the causes that provoke , to help bring it down or decrease.

      School dropout , is understood as the school leaving before having completed the school year, is a failure for the student and for the country, it has significant negative effects on social development , the country's competitiveness and the rating of its capital human.

      The dropout problem has to do with the total lack of quality in education and brings a strong impact on society. Displays one of the least studied and most common problems in higher education, generates high social costs for the development of society.

      To address the issue was necessary to consider the various theories that support the results obtained in the surveys applied, and although they were not very favorable, helped identify areas of opportunity for the institution and from them to create strategies and actions necessary for the improvement of the educational work of the institution, which primarily benefit the university community and thus to society in general.
