El “niño” en la obra freudiana

    Este artículo presenta resultados parciales de una investigación cuyo objetivo general es indagar las nociones de “niño” que sostienen, de manera explícita o implícita, los principales referentes del psicoanálisis, y cómo dichas concepciones repercuten en sus respectivas prácticas clínicas. En esta oportunidad, se presenta uno de los ejes de análisis correspondiente a la noción de “niño” a lo largo de la obra de Sigmund Freud. Del análisis e interpretación de los textos freudianos se pueden situar tres momentos para pensar la noción de “niño”; un primer momento asociado con la teoría de la seducción, que plantea al niño como “víctima”, correlativo al método catártico como terapéutica.

    Un segundo momento, caracterizado por el descubrimiento de la sexualidad infantil que plantea al niño como “sexuado”, e inicia la clínica psicoanalítica propiamente dicha. Finalmente, se abarca un tercer momento, enmarcado en el debate sobre la posibilidad de realizar psicoanálisis con niños, en el que se plantea si el niño es un sujeto del inconsciente con el mismo estatus de los adultos. Puede pensarse que la noción de “niño” sostenida por Freud a lo largo de su obra desemboca en diferentes prácticas clínicas asociadas a dichas concepciones.

    This article shows partial results of an investigation whose general objective is to explore the notions of “child” that hold, implicitly or explicitly, the main referents of psychoanalysis, and how such conceptions impact on their respective clinical practices. In this opportunity, one of the axes of analysis corresponding to the notion of "child" throughout the work of Sigmund Freud is presented. From the analysis and interpretation of the Freudian texts, three moments to think the notion of “child” can be placed; a first moment associated with the seduction theory, which proposes the child as a “victim,” correlated to the cathartic method as a therapy. A second moment characterized by the discovery of the infant sexuality that poses the child as “sexed” and starts the psychoanalytical clinic itself. Finally, a third moment framed in the debate on the possibility of performing psychoanalysis with children in which the question if the child is a subject of the unconscious with the same status of adults. It could be thought that the notion of “child” that Freud holds throughout his work flows out in different clinical practices associated with such ideas.
