    El presente artículo describe las formas en las que un artista realiza investigación para poner sus ideas en papel, tela, roca, madera, partitura o escenario entre otros soportes y espacios. Cada obra artística conlleva un desarrollo intelectual comparable a los textos académicos de investigación, sin embargo, no se documentande la misma manera. Este texto presentará brevemente sugerencias sobre la documentación de la obra artística y su posibilidad de formar parte de la producción del investigador para su evaluación. Los formatos mencionados serán el Programa para el Desarrollo Profesional Docente (PRODEP) el Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SIN) y el Curriculum Vitae institucional (CVI). Este tema es de vital importancia para creadores y artistas que quieran dedicarse a la docencia y beneficiarse de los apoyos institucionales que están disponibles para los investigadores

    The present paper describes the ways in which an artist performs research to put his ideas on paper, cloth, rock, wood, score or stage among other supports and spaces.

    Each artistic work entails an intellectual development comparable to academic research texts; however, they are not documented in the same way. This text will briefly present suggestions on the documentation of the artistic work and its possibility of being part of the production of the researcher for evaluation. The formats mentioned will be the Program for Professional Teacher Development (PRODEP), the National System of Researchers (SNI) and the Institutional Curriculum Vitae (CVI).

    This theme is of great importance for creators and artists who want to dedicate themselves to teaching and want to benefit from the institutional incentives that are available to researchers.
