  • Resumen
    • The Chemical Education Research (CER) community has grown tremendously over the past decades, both in terms of the number of researchers but also in terms of the expectations for conducting empirical investigations. Community members have been keen on helping each other keep pace with the evolution of the standards by providing constructive feedback during the review of manuscripts and by writing insightful, methods-focused articles and books. Keeping up-to-date with these evolving standards can be challenging for new and current members of the CER community. In this editorial, we provide advice for best practices based on reviewers’ comments on CER manuscripts submitted to this Journal over the past two years. We also introduce a new database that compiles resources published by education researchers on standards for conducting discipline-based education research.
