El trabajo aborda el complejo proceso de evaluación del impacto en la formación inicial de docentes en la Facultad de Educación Infantil de la Universidad de Pinar del Río. Estudio basado fundamentalmente en la combinación de métodos de investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa. Los resultados obtenidos reflejan insuficiencias en el plano teórico-práctico para desarrollar este tipo de estudio, lo cual hace insuficiente la respuesta dada, por la ciencia y los sujetos participantes en dicho proceso formativo, lo que revela la necesidad de proponer un modelo para evaluar el impacto de dicho proceso formativo con rigor científico que cubra sus exigencias.

The work refers to the complex process of evaluation of the impact of the preliminary teacher education in the Faculty of Elementary Education of the University of Pinar del Río. The study is based on the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The results obtained reveal insufficiencies in the theoretical and practical stage to develop this kind of study, a fact that makes deficient the answer given by science and by the participants in this educative process. It also reveals the need to propose a model to evaluate the impact of the educative process just mentioned with scientific accuracy to cover its demands.
