  • Resumen
    • In online education, teaching skills have been approached from different approaches, however, the constructivist approach is the one that best suits it, because the new role of the teacher is reflected in the way of promoting cooperative work between students, the exchange of ideas and keep track of them. In this sense, teachers no longer impart knowledge to students, but help them in its construction through interaction processes and because it emphasizes the importance of the context for an efficient developmentof learning processes. Especially at the higher level, teaching skills become important, because it is in universities where students’ knowledge and skills are mainly formed to meet the needs of the country and society. Some of the skills that the online teacher must possess are related to technologies, which are the main axis of technology-mediated education, however, it is not the only one since it must be complemented with others related to pedagogy, communication, evaluation, organization, ethics and values, research, among others.
